The rating of the richest Nigerian Musicians is mostly based on media reports.
Well there are no universal accepted criterium for selecting the richest Musicians In Nigeria. Some of the yardsticks for the selection involves the artist having his/her own label or must have signed to a label, the time duration of the artist in the music industry, the actual number of hit songs released by the artistes and how much sales he/she must have made on iTunes.
So i have documented below the list of Nigeria Richest Musician 2016
10. Olamide – Currently, Olamide is the most famed rapper in Nigeria. It should be noted that 3 of his musical award winning videos has become the most watched musical video in Nigeria for the year 2015. Olamide is the founder and CEO of YBNL, He has an endorsement deal with telecommunication giant Etisalat., The Iconic star do make his cash from his record label, shows and sales on iTunes as his songs are always on the top on the buyer chart of itunes.
9. Tiwa Savage – The queen of Marvin Records is the current most famous female musician in Nigeria.. Her money comes from the endorsement deals she has with MTN, Pepsi, Forte Oïl and Maggi.
8. Iyanya – One of Nigeria’s most hip-hop singer whose money comes from his endorsement deals with MTN,Zinox Computers and Solo Mobile.
7. David aka O.B.O(Omo baba olowo) – He is well known by his international tours and concerts which has lots of turn ups. Not forgetting his endorsement deals with MTN Pulse and Guinness. Also remember that he is from a well to do wealthy family.
6. Wizkid – The CEO and owner of Star boy Records. Reports have it that wizkid do charge #5 million per show and has endorsement deals with Glo and Pepsi. He was having a deal with MTN before now but later shifted to GLO for higher wages.

He usually has up to 3 to 4 shows in a week going by current information. His deals is based on him being a brand ambassador of Etisalat and Samsung Mobile for West African region. He just signed another multi million naira deal with Ciroc.
4. 2Face Idibia as it where This year, has endorsement deals with brands like Guinness(#20 million), Airtel(#22 million) has a Non Government Organisation known as 2Face Idibia Reach- Out Fondation whose motto is “Service to humanity”. Heis a business type of artist who has investments in real estate and stocks. Reports suggests that he can charge between #5 million and #6million per show.

He is the CEO of MARVIN RECORDS who goes for shows in big events, charges #500,000 to produce a song. He has an endorsement deal with Loya milk, MTN and Konga.
2. D-banj. As at 2014, D’BANJ was the highest old paid artist in Africa even ahead of Akon of Senegal. The owner of Koko Holdings was the first indigenous artist to be endorsed by a telecommunication

They have an endorsement deal with Globacom telecommunications worth over N240m for four years. They are said to charge over N3m per show. P-Square has two Sequioa Sports Utility Vans (SUVs), one hummer SUV, truck bus, Toyota Altima among other automobiles. In December 2011 the duo were signed to Akon Konvict music in a multi- million Naira deal.
Psquare also has houses in Jos, Port Harcourt and a #400million house in Lagos they recently bought. In 2015, they resiugned their deal with Globalcom telecommunications. Peter Okoye is the face of Olympic Milk.
